Well, that went well

Good interview, the suit was only mildly uncomfortable and all in all it was very pleasant. We had a laugh and I think I managed to impress all involved. I won't bother going into the details for a couple of reasons except to say that things went really cool. Fingers should remain crossed for the purposes of a second interview, I seriously would love to get this one, it's everything I want to do and everything I *know* I can do. It's one of those "expanding your horizions" things I guess.

It was a little unreal to wander back home at noon, get changed and then walk back into the slightly darker more formal building where I work now. It was one of those moments I get after reading through a comic book for the first time and get really absorbed into it only to be dumped abruptly into reality after an hour or two. Incidentally people, I'm likely to be very distracted for a few days, so I'm not being rude, my mind is just very much elsewhere.

I don't look forward to handing in my notice here if all goes well though, I may bitch about this place but it's been two and a half years and I do enjoy working here but at the end of the day, it's not doing much to expand on my skills or abilities, nor is it likely to let me move in the directions I want to. All that said, it's a good job with cool people who I would miss, I want to leave, I definitely want to leave for the aforementioned job but as they say, parting is such sweet sorrow.
