I had friday off, went to inanna's birthday dinner on saturday and had a blast and then lazed around the house on sunday all day playing Master of Orion 3 and Tribes 2 (versus loads of bots) and downloading some fairly cool punk covers of songs like The Proclaimers' "I would walk 500 miles" and the theme tune to Fraggle Rock (or Fraggle Rawk as the song appeared to be named now)
That said, the overlying theme of the whole weekend was my efforts to take wholesale book prices, reccomended retail prices and VAT rates, mix them together and try to come up with a figure that wouldn't leave a bookshop completly broke within a month.
You're looking at about 20% profit on an item after tax. I can't help but feel that this is not a very workable number, but I still have to sit down with my cashflow estimatey things.
And I have to get back to the whole stall thing soon too or I'll miss out there.
Oh, and hi to metalrabbit who is no doubt reading this at home during lunchtime since we got DSL in on tuesday of last week.
