The great british booze awards.

The mark of a good documentary is seeing a man inflating a blow up doll in front of the director of a marketing company responsible for the advertising for WKD alcopops while making the point that perhaps WKD giving away promotional blow up dolls might perhaps be a little juvenile and against the rules-ish. This was in the presentation for the children's choice award.

Organisers were hoping that last years scenes of devastation would not be repeated. The 2005 awards had been turned into a bloodbath by a crack suicide squad from the People's Libation Army, the paramilitary wing of CAMRA, who bludgeoned the assembled drinks industry executives to death with bottles of Newcastle Brown Ale before drowning themselves in the contents. Despite an anonymous tip-off warning that the aisles of this year's event "would run with red", police are treating it as a promotional stunt for Aftershock.
