Soya milk - tasty. Who would've thunk it?

Sun, Nov. 5th, 2006 10:10 pm (UTC)

Not me, I'm very happy to have my lactose-processing genes, because breakfast cereal tastes so bad with soya milk.

I have to admit, I've not tried that yet but I'm going to - real soon now. Once I have an abundant supply of cereal so I can afford to throw one bowl in the bin and replace it with some covered in cow juice.

Who are you and what have you done with our wombat?!

Mon, Nov. 6th, 2006 01:48 pm (UTC)

I'm not entirely sure. Since the upgrade to Wombat 3.0 (2.0 being summer of last year when I shed two stone) and the added features of "no longer strains to poop" as well as "can run over one hundred yards without death" I'm becoming quite addicted to this health kick thing.

That and - ultimately most of the food you get served in this country is boring, tasteless, overpriced crap so I might as well eat boring, tasteless, cheap crap that has positive benefits. For example, all bran is about as interesting as a spar roll but a damned sight better for you. Also I can be assured that the person serving the all bran has washed my hands and not had them up any orifi/orifices recently. Thats roughly the theory anyway, I'm working on it.

Put it another way, now my body allows me to be 30% more egotistical and bombastic while processing about 40% more booze before sleep sets in. Its all about efficiency.

cartographer says it tastes like jizzum and equates that with it being a bad thing. I suspect she is a lesbian as a result. I therefore conclude that anyone who does not like soya milk is a lesbian.

I'm just trying to attach some sort of logic to the end of this whispy piece of thread...

...so women who *do not* like soya milk are gay.

On the basis of what cartographer says (and I can neither confirm nor deny this point) I would have to conclude that men who *like* soya milk must also be gay.

I'm going to have to take a lot more notice of what goes on around the dairy counter.

Shit.... this one just backfired on me...

Why do you think they make it in all those fruity flavours?? Because it tastes completely disgusting otherwise!

My daughter won't touch the dairy stuff now because she only had soya milk as a baby, but I still think it just tastes like sour dairy milk. Horrible disgusting gank.

This may be one of those times I can be glad that smoking has buggered up a good portion of the tastebuds responsible for detecting "Urgh!" flavours. Theres an odd taste to it but I don't find it unpleasant. I'm not sure enough of the claims of how much better it is for you yet compared to "real" milk though, apart from the omega whatsits I've not much notion what the difference is.

Hehe. I actually quite like the cereal + soy. It is like hazlenut coffee, I didn't think I'd like it, I'm sure why I do as I hate hazlenuts, but there ya go.

P.s. Don't try it with chocolate
