Wombat Hate World

Some bad, some good.

A family of Meerkats are euthanised because some precious little crotch dropping ignored by her family climbs a fence, gets bitten and the parents would rather have the animals killed (presumably as part of the process for determining if they had rabies) than put their little angel through the horror of rabies jabs.
This just reminds me of Dublin Zoo's wonderfully pragmatic response to the clown who got her arm mauled by tigers. That was great.

Some of you may remember I mentioned a few months ago about a pornographer whose house was invaded and then soon afterwards so was his ass. A reporter went on the road with him recently and just posted a somewhat scathing article about the man behind "Girls Gone Wild" Joe Francis - rapist, paedophile, pornographer and all-round sociopath.
Be aware before clicking - theres some potentially triggering stuff in there but remember folks, even some loser paying college kids to flash at parties is far from innocent fun once he starts getting them drunk and stoned.

Oh, I don't remember if I asked this before - how long has it been since Stringfellows closed? I don't think I did my "I was right" dance at the time. I'm always right, you people need to start accepting that.

Another Jerk - Steve Niles is a crazy man. This is one of those stories that leave me struggling between the desire to appreciate something in its own right and the desire not to support hacks who should be dead in a gutter were there any justice.

and another day goes by where Madonna still hasn't lost the ability to make noises, some days I despair...

Anyway, some good ones - A million billion caterpillars
NOFX's Franco Un-American video. Demonstrating that it is possible to do a fun little video for almost no money and that mouthy gobshites like Lily "Why does anyone care what she thinks?" Allen and Madonna need to be burned alive (or I need to invent some sort of device that'll filter out their noises forever but burning seems easier).

I <3 NOFX! :)

I'm cycling between War on Errorism, Never Trust a Hippy and Wolves in Wolves' clothing at the moment. No one does politically charged remotely like them and I'm not sure how this connects to Allen or Madonna but NOFX makes me want to beat them with planks.

I first saw NOFX in the Powerhaus in Islington in '93

I keep missing them in concert - them, the dropkick murpheys and the Foo Fighters. Every bloody time they're in the country the tickets sell out before I hear about it (last time the Foo played they sold out on the basis of the whingey goth band they had supporting them) or I'm in hospital or a family member died or some bloody thing.
I guess its lucky I prefer the studio polish to the live performances of the few acts I *have* seen :)

Def see them if you can!

I read that article about Joe Francis. Now I feel ill. Thanks a bunch.

He's not quite hitler but he deserves a similar punching with fists.
And by "punching" I mean "savage beating" and by "fists" I mean "nail studded planks".

It eloquently makes my point about how all these fucks are complete scumbags, no matter how charismatic they are or how you might be tempted to think "Ah its a dodgy industry but he's a sound enough bloke". Heffner, Flint, Stringfellow... they're all evil, manipulative shits who make a business out of making things worse for everyone except themselves and leaving a trail of human wreckage along the way.

followthebird: Hell

I felt like getting sick. Men like Joe Francis represent everything I hate in this world. Grrr... the real truth is that he really hates women. Only a man who hates women could do those things. The rage I feel toward what he has done and is doing to the world is unbearable.

The boy has issues best dealt with through a careful application of violence alright. Like I said before though, half the internet knows about this now and horror is the almost unanimous reaction. Maybe this'll be the beginning of the end for him - suicide being painless in this instance.
