Toothy grin

Got the tooth out, it took 30 minutes including applying the local anaesthetic. He gave me the surface thing on some cotton wool, injected me twice and stuck half a toolkit in my mouth. I think at one point there was a screwdriver in there ( I'm not kidding, it looked exactly like a screwdriver ). He had to cut away a bit of the gum and he prised the tooth out by literally levering it out with the aforementioned screwdriver thing, He pulled it the rest of the way with the plier things and then put in two disolving stitches.

The whole way through I never felt a thing, seriously, not one single twinge, the man is a god damned dental deity. It's monday night now and the worst I have to deal with is a twinge if I yawn too wide - so three days later I'm nearly all healed up (granted I tend to heal quite quickly - it's a family trait) with no ill side effects. I honestly can't believe this guy is so good, especially given that the tooth was positioned badly, growing against a molar as it was.
I'm half expecting to grow back a new healthy one next week now. I have to go back for a filling next month because the decay had spread a little, which is a shame because I've never needed a filling in my life and I would have liked to keep going along those lines but I guess we can't all have a pony.

Hate to hear you had to get a tooth out, I know how funny it feels, but I am glad it went so well! Anesthetic doesn't take well on me and when I had to have teeth out (four of em when I was a teen to make space in my mouth which was not big enough to hold all of my teeth, before i had braces) I got so many needles, and it was still only half frozen when he did it. Not cool. And my whole face was numb!

Maybe this guy IS a dental deity!

Heal quick!

It's always good when you get a good dentist! Glad to hear it went without incident!
