There's lots of people on my friends list in dublin who are creative types - writers (be it fiction, gaming or whatever else), artists, and so on. We should try and meet up every so often to exchange ideas, techniques, software, feedback or tips with each other. Livejournal is well and good for these things but there's nothing like getting together to do it right. Somewhere quiet-ish on an evening that isn't typically busy.

every second week seems right and mondays or wednesdays would probably be the best. Thursdays and fridays are busy in pubs and coffee shops and tuesdays are always busy for everyone it seems.

Sorry, didn't mean to ignore this, just forgot to come back and answer it. My free eveninings in Dublin are few and far between, but if you post whenever a gathering is happening I'll see if I can make it.

Speaking of exchanging ideas though, if you're still looking for source material for UW then check out Umberto Eco's 'Serendipities:Languiage & Lunacy' - there's a good essay in it on the Rosicrucians and evolution of certain types of secret society. I know they have it in the library in Ballsbridge (well, okay, I've got it checked out at the moment, but you get the idea...).
