Resolution #2

Anyone who says to me "Ah well, 3D art... I mean all you do is load up a few models and move them around" will get a smack. Two hours of effort produced this and I'm not happy with it.

Edit: I do like this change I made to the catgirl.

I love the catgirl!

Thanks :)
It's a good model to work with (it's basicly the same one as the schoolgirl). Manga style images are a breeze with her, I've got a few more in the pipeline.

Weird question, would you take commissions?

Yeah, no problem, though there is one factor to bear in mind: I still almost exclusively use 3D models, and while my collection is pretty extensive (about 16 gigs fully compressed, which is somewhere in the region of 6,000 models covering an awful lot of topics) there are gaps in it. No great big gaping ones but in the unlikely event that you wanted to involve a hand held grenade launcher in an image then it might be a problem.
So, if you were looking for something that I didn't have already I can possibly make it myself but it takes longer. The other alternative is that I can go out and buy the item in question if it's easily available.

As far as I'm concerned, unless I had to buy a model I wouldn't be too worried about taking cash for it since it all looks good in a portfolio. If I had to buy the model then I'd probably be asking for the cost. If I had to make the model then that's no trouble since I can always sell it.

Sounds good. What I'm looking for, to start with, is something similar to the catgirl you did the other day.

A cat, black-ish, sultry in a Jessica Rabbit kinda way, in a red corset and skirt, big fluffy tail.. that's the bones of it... Doable? Interested?

Tue, Jan. 11th, 2005 04:29 pm (UTC)

I'm pretty sure I can manage that one alright, the fluffy tail might take a wee while but otherwise I think I have about everything else. I'll try and throw something together tonight to give you an idea of it.

This is very much one of those no-time-limit jobs, it's more for my own amusement that nay concrete plans...

Excellent, thank you sir. You can bill me at the end of said project, or whenever really...

No bill, I've checked and everything I need I either have or can download for free.

I want to get this done quick since I want to see how long it takes me to go from taking the broad outline to finishing the render. Not that I have notions about making a career out of this but it's good to know I can actually turn things around quick like.
