UW again

We've set September as our release month for the game, Ian disappears off to the far end of the country at that point so we figure that it's as good a time as any to aim for. Even though I've been off for the last week though I've gotten nothing done with it unfortunately - at various points either the pain or the painkillers had me in a mental state that didn't leave me inclined to do much. I DID however watch a bunch of movies in a vain attempt to get me in the mood.

The Sin Eater - Heath Ledger stars as a priest from an obscure order who are charged with dealing with spooks and ghouls. You can be fairly assured that I'll nick some material from that one.

The house of 1000 corpses - might be scary or weird if you had never seen a horror movie in your life before. The most entertaining part of the movie was guessing which characters were going to end up as Tod McFarlane collectible figures. Trite, dull predictable shite.

O.N.E One Nation Earth - Watched the first half hour. The back of the box made me think it was going to be some sort of "Enemy of the State" type conspiracy thing that would be a good watch to get me in the mood for writing the company stuff. Unfortunately it turned out to be a flick about (guessing from the first half hour) how Jesus is a great guy. Also starring Mr T, I shit you not.

The Stand - still good until the last twenty minutes. Fuck you Stephen King you fucking hack.

Underworld - I was hoping for some plot but I fell asleep for about half an hour in the middle of the movie and from what I could see, missed none of the plot. Certainly nothing that mattered anyway. Why the hell White Wolf wanted to claim that it ripped them off is beyond me, if I were them I'd have distanced myself from this steaming turd as far and as fast as possible.

Jeepers Creepers 2 - God knows I was desperate by this stage. It had a few good set pieces but the whole film was rendered creepier by virtue of the director/producer/whatever supposedly being a convicted paedophile. Maybe I was reading too much into it but a movie about an unstoppable monster arbitrarially[1] picking and choosing several teenagers out of a class trapped on a broken bus in the middle of nowhere seemed a bit iffy to me. Oh, and man alive did the guys pee a lot.

So yeah, loads of movies, bugger all inspiration.

[1] I almost certainly spelled that wrong, I'll look it up later.
