I had another one of those dreams last night where I dreamed an entire day of work. Worse still, in said dream, I started early, 6AM early and I didn't get out of the office until around 7PM that evening.
So it was a real treat to wake up and have to do a days work for real. I'm fucking knackered thanks to how vivid it all was.
Next week we start playtesting UW. I'm looking forward to that. Through the magic of technology (a headset mic and windows sound recorder) I hope to be able to take notes I can use later for once. The first couple of sessions we're going to use to thrash the bugs out of the system once and for all and then after a week or two it's on to the background development bit which, while it is mostly done, is also mostly in my head and for all I know doesn't work that well or could easily have major holes in it.
So the plan is now to get it all finished before Gaelcon and my co-writer disappearing off to the far end of the country.
I wouldn't mind this crap of hanging around for hours waiting for development to get their act together (there's work needs doing by friday evening and not enough time to do it) if I could even spend the time constructively but for whatever reason I just can't seem to do anything. It's like they pipe liquid writer's block through the water here.
Of course the fact that I never (despite my best intentions) remember to put all my notes onto a floppy disk and bring them in here can't help.
