Academia
This skill covers a wide range of subjects. When a player purchases this skill for a character they must specify what academic subject they are specialising in. It would be impossible to present a complete list of possible specalisations but as a general rule, any subject not covered in the skill list that requires a lot of research could be considered an academic skill.
The skill can be purchased as often as the player wants choosing a different specialisation each time.

Animal Handling
A character with this skill is able to train and command different animals as well as take care of their basic feeding and grooming needs.
Sample specialisations: Dog, lion. hawk

Archery
This skill is a measure of how well a character can use a bow or crossbow. Though they may be archaic and outdated weapons compared to firearms, they have certain advantages, most importantly the fact that they are almost entirely silent when fired.
Sample specialisations: Bow, crossbow.

Awareness
The awareness skill measures how in tune the character is with his environment and how much detail he takes in about his surroundings. A character with a high awareness may spot the signs of an ambush in time to avoid it or even turn the tables on the ambushers. If a player does not purchase any ranks in awareness for their character, that character automatically gets one free rank in this skill after character generation is complete.

Business
When purchasing this skill the player must pick a specialisation from the list below.
Characters with the business skill have the knowledge required to run one or more aspects of a company, charity or similar organisation. How effective they are at this is determined both by their level in the skill and the size of the organisation involved as well as how many people they have to help. This skill does not cover the legal aspects involved and should the character wish to engage in suspect business practices then they will need the Law skill with the corporate specialisation.
This skill may be purchased several times choosing a different specialisation each time.
Sample specialisations: Accounting, administration, economics

Computers
When purchasing this skill the player must pick a specialisation from the list below.
A character with this skill is able to use a computer for a variety of purposes from developing new software to gaining illegal access to a system in order to steal information. Purchasing any specialisation of this skill automatically grants the character the ability to use the basic operations of a computer. They can turn it on, use very basic programs and browse the Internet.
This skill may be purchased several times choosing a different specialisation each time.
Sample specialisations: Hacking, operation, programming, security, graphics

Climbing
This skill is necessary for a character who wishes to scale sheer vertical surfaces safely. In learning this skill the character learns about the proper use of climbing equipment such as the placement of pitons and how to secure ropes. It is as much about safety as it is about getting from one end of a cliff to another.

Contortion
The contortion skill allows the character to bend his body beyond what it is usually capable of. This skill can be used by a character to pass through a tight or twisting passages and to escape from restraints or traps.

Craft
A character with this skill has been trained in making or repairing items from scratch with their hands.
A character may take this skill several times, selecting a new type of craft each time.
Sample types: Carpentry, pottery, woodworking or metalworking.

Dance
This skill reflects the character's training in a style of dancing.
Sample specialisations: Ballroom, swing, flamenco, ballet, folk

Demolitions
The demolitions skill grants the character the expertise necessary to collapse a building or structure using explosives planted around it. Using this knowledge a character is also likely to know where an explosive device was placed by someone else wishing to destroy a building should he wish to prevent it from happening. This skill does not allow a character to defuse or dismantle explosives once they are placed. That is covered by the Engineering skill with the electronics specialisation.

Drive (by vehicle type)
When purchasing this skill you must select one of the vehicle types listed below. Characters with this skill are able to drive vehicles listed under that class in the equipment chapter. This skill only grants the character the skill necessary to drive, whether or not the character is allowed to drive is an entirely different matter depending on their age and location.
You may purchase this skill several times for different vehicle types each time.
Vehicle Categories: All-terrain vehicle, hovercraft, motorcycle, automobile, rail vehicle, truck, van, or tracked vehicle

Engineering
When purchasing this skill the player must pick a specialisation from the list below.
The engineering skill covers the character's knowledge of how various systems work. With the appropriate specialisation the character may design, build, repair and dismantle a system of that type safely and in a manner that does not damage any of the parts.
This skill may be purchased several times choosing a different specialisation each time.
Sample specialisations: Mechanical,vehicles, aviation, electrical, electronic

Enigmas
With this skill a character is able to solve puzzles ranging from crosswords to ancient prophecies and riddles or to spot hidden messages in pictures or text. The character may also create his own hidden messages and riddles using this skill for fun or to test others or even to pass on information he does not want people other than the intended recipient to understand. Whether or not the recipient understands the message is up to them however.

Etiquette
This skill measures how well the character knows how to interact with people from different cultures or social circles without causing offence unless that was their intention. This skill also covers regional and national peculiarities and the signs of post meal appreciation that are appropriate to his host as well as the simpler matters of which fork to use first.

Expression
This is the character's ability to clearly communicate his feelings or intentions through emails, conversation, art or body language. Though this skill is primarily used for person to person communication it can also be used in conjunction with craft skills to produce works of art or it can be used to stir up an audience and get them on the character's side.

Fast draw

Firearms
When purchasing this skill you must select one of the firearm types listed below. Characters with this skill are able to use firearms listed under that class in the equipment chapter. This skill also gives the character the ability to maintain and clean the weapon as well as clearing any jams if and when they occur. This skill can be purchased several times, choosing a different type of gun each time.
Firearm categories: Handgun, submachine gun, rifle, shotgun, heavy weapon, gunnery

Forgery
Forgery is the ability to falsify documents ranging from convincing letters and official papers passports and currency. Since a character with this skill is aware of the tricks and methods used to create these bogus documents they are also able to use this skill to detect forgeries. This skill can also be used to duplicate someone's handwriting

Gambling (by type)
A character with the gambling skill has spent some time at the poker table or the races or whatever the character decides. When picking this skill, the player must decide what type of gambling the character would indulge in.
This skill can be purchased several times, choosing a different type of gambling each time.
Sample types: Card games, horse or dog racing, roulette.

Gymnastics
This skill allows the character to perform feats of athletic agility such as back flips, tumbles or cartwheels. Characters with this skill may also use it to keep their balance on unstable or narrow locations.

Hobby Skills

Hypnosis
Hypnosis is the skill of placing a willing subject in a trance like state. Once the hypnotist has lulled the subject into this state they can then use the skill for a variety of purposes. The most common use is psychological therapy and a skilled hypnotist can ease phobias or compulsions or even bring back long lost memories. A hypnotist, no matter how skilled they are, cannot compel a subject to do anything that is against their nature but they can plant post-hypnotic suggestions that may cause the subject to behave in a certain way in future.

Iai Jutsu

Imitation
This skill allows the character to mimic another person's characteristics, speech patterns, mannerisms and appearance in order to pass themselves off as the person being imitated.
This skill cannot be used to fool electronic security measures such as retina or fingerprint scanners or voice print identifiers.

Intimidation
This skill allows the character to scare or intimidate another character into doing what they want them to do, generally through use of threats or blackmail. A victim of intimidation will do as they are told but may well plot revenge or retribution against the person who intimidated them.

Interrogation
A character with this skill knows what questions to ask and how to ask them in order to extract the information he wants from another person. This skill also allows the character to know when the subject is lying or withholding information.

Languages

Law
When purchasing this skill the player must pick a specialisation from the list below.
The Law skill is the character's knowledge of legal systems and allows them to use the law to get justice or defend themselves or others from the judicial system.
Most nations require that the character has passed an exam in that country that qualifies them to practice law there and at level three this skill automatically grants the character such a license for the country in which he learned the skill. To be allowed practice law in other countries the character must purchase the "Bar exam" advantage and specify a country when they buy it.
This skill may be purchased several times choosing a different specialisation each time.
Sample specialisations: Civil, corporate, criminal, tax, police procedure

Lock picking
With the right tools a character with this skill is able to pick mechanical locks.

Lip reading
The ability to read lips allows the character to know what someone is saying without having to hear to actually hear their voice as long as he can see their face clearly.

Marksmanship

Martial Arts (by type)
This skill is not used in the same manner as the others. Martial arts skills are used to counteract negative modifiers to a skill roll. Each rank of Martial arts allows the character to cancel one negative step on the roll. This means that a character can deliberately incur negative steps on their skill roll and then cancel them with their martial arts skill, allowing them to attempt far more difficult tasks than could be tried by someone without martial arts.
This skill can never be used to cause a positive modifier on the roll and it can only be applied after all the other modifiers have been applied.

To effectively use a martial arts skill the character must also have the appropriate Melee or Unarmed Combat skill.

Medicine
When purchasing this skill the player must pick a specialisation from the list below.
The Medicine skill is the character's knowledge of how a human or animal's body works and allows him to treat any disorders that may occur.
In order to practice medicine without breaking the law the character must have a license to practice for all specialisations except Alternative. At when a character reaches or purchases the skill at rank three he is automatically assumed to have such a license. Regardless of the specialisation chosen the character is assumed to have the knowledge to diagnose most common illnesses as well as any disorders that fall under their specialisation.
This skill may be purchased several times choosing a different specialisation each time.
Sample specialisations: Alternative, paramedic, surgery, toxicology, veterinary

Meditation
A character with the Meditation skill has practised the art of relaxation. This skill allows the character to concentrate in difficult circumstances and to focus their mind on the task at hand, ignoring distractions. It also allows the character to get more benefit from resting and reduces the likelihood that he will suffer from stress related problems.

Melee
When purchasing this skill the player must pick a specialisation from the list below. The character is skilled in the use of all weapons in the same category as their specialisation in the equipment chapter.
The melee skill indicates how proficient the character is in the use of various weapons. This skill allows the character to use their chosen weapon to strike an opponent or block their attacks without taking injury. It also allows the character to gauge the quality of a weapon and to maintain weapons of that type, keeping them in good condition.
This skill may be purchased several times choosing a different specialisation each time.
Weapon categories: 1 Hand blunt, 2 Hand blunt, 1 Hand sharp, 2 Hand sharp, shield, flexible, chainsaw

Music
When purchasing this skill the player must pick a specialisation from the list below.
The music skill allows the character to play an instrument that falls under their specialisation. Not only can they play the instrument but this skill allows them to gauge the quality of an instrument that falls under this category, read sheet music and write tunes with that instrument in mind.
This skill may be purchased several times choosing a different specialisation each time.
Sample Specialisations: Percussion, woodwind, brass, string, keyboard

Navigation
When purchasing this skill the player must pick a specialisation from the list below.
This skill allows the character to use the method of their specialisation to get from A to B and to find their way around unknown regions.
This skill may be purchased several times choosing a different specialisation each time.
Sample Specialisations: Maps, stars, naval

Parachuting
This skill allows the character to leap from a plane, skydive and parachute to the ground with a reasonable amount of safety. Characters with this skill are trained in packing their own parachutes and all applicable emergency procedures in case anything goes wrong.

Persuasion
A character with this skill knows how to use flattery, innuendo or logic to get someone else to agree with the character or do the character's bidding.

Pilot
When purchasing this skill the player must pick a specialisation from the list below.
Characters with this skill know how to pilot the various types of aircraft outlined in the equipment chapter and are familiar with any equipment on board.
This skill may be purchased several times, choosing a new type of aircraft each time.
Aircraft Categories: Helicopter, light aircraft, medium aircraft, heavy aircraft, balloon, shuttles and gliders

Research
Characters with the research skill are familiar with the best methods and locations to get the information they need.

Posted here for posterity, if anyone gets the chance to have a look through don't worry about the spelling just now, I'm more concerned with the phrasing and grammar at the moment. I'm not finished with it yet of course, about 80% of the descriptions are done and after that I still have to do examples, system, sample modifiers and the like.
