I finally got to see Freddy Vs Jason last night and enjoyed it immensely. There was a little too much talking into the camera and explaining of plot by Freddy but I guess it was necessary for a lot of the viewers who would never have seen a Friday the 13th or Nightmare on Elm St movie before. I had no real complaints about the plot which is usually as much as you can expect from a slasher flick and some of the scenes really made me jump. And the fight scenes... oh the fight scenes - the single most gruesome, no holds barred series of manbeatings ever to grace the screen. While you would expect a fight between two nigh immortal killing machines to be impressive, this is spectacularly nasty (it might even be useful for Vampire the Masquerade GMs to watch for a reminder as to how incredibly bloody fights between monsters would be).
I watched it twice, that's how much I enjoyed it, juvenile nonsense though it may have been.
